Tomato gojju
Ingredients
- Tomatoes (chopped) - 4
- Green chillies (split) - 1
- Jaggery - 1 small piece
- Salt to taste
- Chopped cilantro leaves - 1/4 bunch
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch
- Chopped curry leaves - 4
- Split white Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
- coconut oil - 1 Tbsp
Method
- Boil the tomatoes on the stove. Do not pressure cook.
- Let it cool. Once cooled, mash it.
- Add the split green chilli, jaggery and a little salt. Mix.
- Add the finely chopped cilantro leaves and mix. Gojju is donne.
- In a tempering pan, heat the oil.
- Add the mustard seeds.
- When it starts to splutter, add the Asafoetida and the urad dal.
- When the urad dal starts to redden, add the chopped curry leaves.
- Add the temper to the gojju in the pan.
