Mango hindhi
This is another kind of pickle.
Ingredients
- Sour unripe mangoes - 2
- Salt - 3 Tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
- Asafoetida - a large piece / 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 150 gm
Method
- Wash the mangoes and dry them thoroughly.
- Cut the mangoes into thin slices.
- Put the slices in a glass jar with about 3Tbsps of salt.
- Keep it outside for 3 days, shaking the jar every morning to mix it up.
- After 3 days, add the mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder and grind to a thick paste, adding as little water as possible.
